St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marinette is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Lorig as Executive Director, who started his role on August 1.
Lorig comes to SVDP from Prescott, AZ, where he worked at Meals on Wheels. Before that, he held a variety of ministry positions in northeast Nebraska.
“I’m very excited to move back to the Midwest, particularly to join such an inspiring organization like SVDP that meets people where they’re at and makes no judgment about what brought them there.”
Lorig brings a unique blend of non-profit and ministry experience to his new role. At Prescott Meals on Wheels, he was the Director of Client Services, which served over 800 clients and delivered 101,000 meals last year. Before relocating to Arizona, Lorig played a pivotal role with the Archdiocese of Omaha, where he directed the implementation of the archdiocese’s mission, vision, and priorities across its churches and schools in 23 counties of northeast Nebraska.
“We are delighted to have Jeff joining us. From our first meeting, I could tell he had a Vincentian heart. His enthusiasm and passion for helping others was evident. He is a great addition to our SVDP community,” acting SVDP Council president Kathy McDougal said.
Lorig replaces Ashley Berken, now the Executive Director of the Marinette & Menominee Area Community Foundation (MMACF).
